Meet the Coach | Keith Williamson

Keith’s automotive journey began when he was 12 years old. His dad was a diesel Mechanic and taught  him mechanical repair skills. He started repairing lawn mowers and small engines for his mowing business, his neighbors, family and friends. By the time he graduated high school he had rebuilt engines and carburetors. He continued his growth by Working at an Amoco station where he performed all kinds of car repairs. He then become a lead Technician at a small dealer in Ankeny. When that shop closed in 1997, he started Williamson’s Repair and Tire.  He served the Advisory board at his local community college and hosted many high school field trips to his repair shop. He was a member of Mid-West Auto Care association where he served as vice president and leader of their local Shop owner support group. His shop won many awards including, best of east Polk County 8 times, best of the Des Moines metro in 2018 and has had several articles wrote about them. 

He loved helping people. He did a car giveaway and free repairs for a needy family each year. He was very involved in his community. He was a member of Bondurant’s Lions club where he served many roles including president, Chamber of commerce, Little League softball board. He loved mentoring employees, apprentice technicians, and other shop owners. He was awarded Bondurant Citizen of the year.  He coached softball for 15 years. From little league to travel ball and even some high school offseason coaching.  He loved teaching young ladies to be confident leaders on and off the field. He is currently umpiring softball in his spare time where he umpires 100 games a year.  

Keith is happily married to Dori Williamson. He has 1 daughter, 2 step kids and 3 grandchildren. He enjoys family time, golf, travelling and fishing.
