Meet Corey Evaldi, owner of Olmsted Auto Care and a coach at Repair Shop of Tomorrow. Corey’s passion for auto repair started at an early age, living next door to his family’s automotive repair shop in Buffalo, New York. He began working in the shop at age 12, cleaning and mounting tires, and learned the skills from both his parents. His dad taught him how to work on cars, while his mother instilled in him an outstanding attention to detail.
Corey attended vocational school, where he excelled and was awarded a full-tuition scholarship to Ohio Technical College. While attending college, he began working for Pat Theobald of Olmsted Auto Care. Over the years, Pat began to see Corey’s determination to take the shop to the next level, and in 2015, Corey took over the role of shop manager and began to grow the company.
However, when Corey and his wife learned they were expecting their first child, he knew he needed to get educated to run the business properly. He began working with Repair Shop of Tomorrow, a turning point for him personally and professionally. Corey loves to implement new ideas and watch them work. By 2018, he was able to double the revenue of his store and grow his profitability. In 2019, he became the full owner of Olmsted Auto Care.
Now, as a coach at Repair Shop of Tomorrow, Corey is looking to help others in the industry. He understands the challenges that come with owning and operating an auto repair shop and provides valuable insights and strategies to help other shop owners reach their full potential.
